Dr. Shiv Kumar Verma is an esteemed alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. He has taken on the role of a Professor in the Department of Computing Science and Engineering at Alliance University. With an extensive academic background, he boasts over 22 years of experience in reputable institutions and universities both in India and abroad.
Dr. Verma's academic journey includes earning his master’s and doctorate degrees from IIT-Roorkee. His educational foundation began with a bachelor’s degree in science and a master’s in Mathematics from Kanpur University.
His research interests encompass a range of intriguing fields, such as Discrete Tomography, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and their applications in domains like Agriculture, Medical Imaging, and Healthcare Analytics. Dr. Verma has made notable contributions to the academic community with more than 40 peer-reviewed journal publications to his credit.
Recognized for his expertise, he actively participates as a Session Chair and Ph.D. thesis examiner at various prestigious international universities. Additionally, Dr. Verma holds the distinguished status of Senior Membership in both the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and ACM (Association for Computing Machinery).
